Your Responsibilities
As a teacher in the after-school program, you make a significant difference for students. You are present throughout the entire day and gain a comprehensive understanding of how students and groups function in the classroom and in after-school activities. This offers wonderful opportunities to analyze students' needs and gives you as an educator the chance to work with activities that strengthen students and groups in their education. Students are the focus, but your role also involves collaborating with other educators and the school's student welfare team. You also maintain regular dialogue with parents and sometimes with authorities.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher with credentials to work in an after-school program. You are a trustworthy adult who is passionate about engaging our students. It is a merit if you have previously worked in after-school activities, school programs, preschool settings, or with children and young people. To develop learning in the after-school program, you need to be comfortable using digital tools and equipment such as tablets, interactive programs, and apps. Your good planning skills and solution-focused approach are important so you can actively connect after-school activities to the LGR22 curriculum. We are continuously developing our after-school programs and want you to have the drive and commitment to be part of this development.

Recruitment Process
During weeks 29-30, we will have a summer break in the recruitment process. This means we will have limited ability to answer questions and any interviews will occur no earlier than week 31.
We have a central and shared recruitment process for after-school program teachers in primary schools. This means we interview and fill positions on an ongoing basis according to school needs. We update the job posting continuously with available positions. Of course, you have the opportunity to indicate preferred schools when you submit your application. If you proceed after a possible interview, you will have the opportunity to visit selected schools based on current needs.
If you are not trained as an after-school program teacher, your application may be forwarded to principals who have available fixed-term positions.
If you currently work as an after-school program teacher in our schools but are interested in changing units, you need to apply here. However, you will not need to go through all stages of the recruitment process.
When you submit your application, you will fill in a questionnaire where you have the opportunity to indicate which school or schools you are interested in. In your application, we would like you to attach:

Other Information
Before you can be employed, we conduct a background check and you must provide a valid clearance certificate from the police.
During the interview, you must verify your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a certificate of citizenship along with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must provide proof that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
