Tuggeliteskolan is a primary school with approximately 150 students from pre-school class through grade 3. Tuggeliteskolan | Karlstad Municipality Work Duties As an after-school teacher, you will be part of a work team consisting of elementary teachers and after-school teachers who together plan, implement, and develop the activities. Through close collaboration, you will contribute to creating continuity between school time and after-school time, where students' development, learning, and well-being are in focus. You work both in the after-school program and in the school's activities. Together with your colleagues, you plan and conduct pedagogical, stimulating, and meaningful instruction that takes advantage of students' curiosity, interests, and creativity. The after-school program's mission is to complement school instruction by offering students a safe and developing environment where they are given the opportunity to develop their learning, their social competence, their sense of responsibility, and their ability to collaborate with others. Teaching takes place both indoors and outdoors and is based on play, creative activities, movement, and student participation. You help create activities that encourage exploration, community, and active learning throughout the day. Work as an after-school teacher is creative, varied, and developing. It requires flexibility, initiative, and a solution-focused approach. At the same time, it offers great opportunities to influence and contribute to students' development both academically and socially. Qualifications Licensed teacher with a specialization in after-school education. We are looking for someone who has strong confidence in students' ability to learn and develop. You are relationship-building and have an easy time establishing trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Through your pedagogical insight, you understand how students acquire knowledge and adapt your approach based on their different needs and circumstances. You have good collaboration skills and actively contribute to a positive collaborative climate where you together work for students' best interests and the development of the activities. At the same time, you have good judgment and feel secure in making well-founded decisions within your role. We also value that you are engaged, curious, and want to develop in your professional role.
