Your Tasks As a teacher in the after-school program, your starting point is to work with planning, instruction, evaluation, and values-based education based on the curriculum. The work is conducted both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. As a teacher in the after-school program, you view the student's entire school day as important. Your role includes: Creating engaging, varied, and meaningful instruction in the after-school program based on the student group you meet. Teaching and leading activities. Being a driving force in collegial collaboration and developing quality work at the after-school program together with your colleagues. Promoting collegial learning through discussion and reflection at both planned and spontaneous moments. To support student learning, as well as your own and the organization's development, you leverage the experiences and knowledge of different professions. Work closely with both colleagues and guardians to contribute to student safety, language development, and high achievement of goals. Use digital tools as a natural part of your pedagogical instruction. Work as a resource in the classroom during school hours to support student development and learning in the classroom environment. Your Workplace Tanneforsskolan is the small school in the heart of the city, located close to Snugganparken and the green areas along the Stångån River. With approximately 165 students and one class in each grade level (F–6), we have an atmosphere where closeness and relationships are central. You will be part of the after-school program team. Our after-school program is led by a lead teacher in the after-school program and a team leader and consists of two units where we work in age-integrated groups. About You First and foremost, we are looking for you who have teaching certification with authorization in the after-school program. Second, we are looking for you with a diploma or completed education as a teacher in an after-school program. Alternatively, you are nearing the end of your education as a teacher in the after-school program. It is a requirement that you have experience as a teacher in curriculum-based after-school programs, through practice or as an employee. It is a merit if you have worked as a teacher in an after-school program for at least one school year. In your role as a teacher in the after-school program, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well familiar with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish. This is because, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), you should organize and conduct the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way. As a teacher in the after-school program, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your instruction to the students and let them participate in shaping the instruction. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for student development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in society that arise in your professional role. Other Information In this application, you do not submit a personal letter.
