Skogsängsskolan is a newly built K-6 school with excellent facilities and a fantastic schoolyard. We have grown in recent years and currently have approximately 460 students in a 3-parallel organization. We work together with a focus on collegial learning. We work preventatively to create safety and good conditions for student learning in our multicultural school unit. We work with differentiated and language-developing approaches for higher goal achievement. The school has a comprehensive student support team including a counselor, school nurse, social pedagogue, speech-language pathologist, special education teacher and special educator, school psychologist and school doctor from the central student health services. To create safety and study peace, we place great emphasis on norms, values, and good relationships. An important part of this work is our organized and well-functioning recreation activities.

WORK TASKS
As a recreation teacher, you stimulate student development and create meaningful recreation time. During school hours, you support students and help them with their schoolwork. You work where there is a need and support both individual students and groups. It is important to create good relationships with the students to give them a safe transition between school day and after-school program. Before and after school hours, you work in the recreation program.
You are part of a work team that together works to develop students' creativity, imagination, and ability to learn together with others. Our goal is for students to have the opportunity to learn in all situations, both during class time and through activities in the recreation program.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a strong interest in children's development and learning. You have a teacher's degree and teaching certification with authorization to teach in after-school programs. If you also have authorization to teach in additional subjects, preferably art, that is a plus. You may also be near the end of your education and be ready to complete it shortly. It is meritorious if you have experience with teaching in after-school programs and are accustomed to working according to current curriculum guidelines.
