Description Kungsladugårdsskolan is an F-6 school with approximately 620 students. Our organization also includes an adapted elementary school with about 35 students. The school is located in Majorna with proximity to many beautiful areas, including Slottsskogen and Svaleboskogen. We are now seeking an educator for the after-school program at our adapted elementary school. Job Responsibilities As an educator in the after-school program, you will be part of a team with classroom teachers, after-school educators, and student assistants. You are responsible for the pedagogical content of the after-school program in accordance with current educational guidelines. You plan, implement, and follow up on instruction and activities in the after-school program. Together with classroom teachers and colleagues, you participate in pedagogical work throughout the school day, both by leading instructional components, recess activities, and by supporting students individually and in groups. You work on building relationships with students, are attentive to their needs, and support them with schoolwork, activities, transitions, as well as hygiene and restroom needs. You collaborate with colleagues, guardians, and others around the students. You can manage daily routines and participate in developing methods and procedures to help students develop to their fullest potential. Qualifications We are looking for you to be a certified educator in after-school programs. You have previous experience working with students in adapted elementary school, school, or after-school settings, and you have worked with children and students with special needs. To succeed in this role, you need to be able to express yourself fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing. We would appreciate it if you have worked with children and students with intellectual disabilities at various developmental levels, as well as with children with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF). Knowledge of Sign-Supported Swedish as an alternative and augmentative communication method, as well as experience with visual supports and clear pedagogical approaches, are also highly valuable. The students need support in social interaction, communication, and care. Therefore, you need to be secure, calm, and stable as a person.
