Description
Kannebäcksskolan has three different school units: Resource School Grades 1–9, Adapted Primary School Grades 1–9, and Deaf and Hard of Hearing F-9. To Kannebäcksskolan Resource School, the first of three resource schools in Gothenburg City, we are now seeking an engaged after-school teacher who shares our commitment to children with special needs and wants to help develop our after-school program.
Gothenburg City's resource schools serve students in primary school who need comprehensive and long-term special support. We work with smaller student groups and more staff, creating greater opportunities for individual adaptations in teaching and learning environments. We serve students in primary school from Grade 1-9.
Our resource school has a total of 64 students and 37 staff members. The school's leadership team consists of a principal and five assistant principals.
Welcome to a team of innovative and professional educators and staff members

As an after-school teacher, you have a central role in planning, developing, and following up on the pedagogical activities at the after-school program based on the curriculum's purpose and content. You work to create a safe, stimulating, and meaningful after-school environment where students' needs and interests are at the center.
You work in small after-school groups of between 7-12 students and are part of a work team with after-school educators, teachers, and preschool teachers. During the mornings, you are an important part of the school's activities, where you work together with other staff to strengthen students' learning and development.
You work as a resource in the classroom and during recess during school hours. In the afternoons, you continue your work at our after-school program, where in close collaboration with colleagues you create an environment characterized by participation, safety, and joy.
Your assignment also includes close collaboration with guardians, special education teacher, and speech-language pathologist.
