Description Bjurslättskolan is located in Kvillebäcken, near Wieselgrensplatsen in central Hisingen, in an expanding neighborhood where old meets new in a mixed socioeconomic area around the school. The school encompasses preschool class, grades 1-6, adapted primary education, and an after-school program. Approximately 630 students attend the school and about 100 staff members work there. The school has one principal and three assistant principals, each responsible for their own section: preschool-grade 2, grades 3-6, and adapted primary education. Job Responsibilities We are now seeking two after-school program teachers, one for preschool class and one for grade 2. During the school day, you work together with classroom teachers on instruction and recess activities for students. After school, you work at the after-school program together with colleagues. There, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the program together with your team. You have special responsibility for planning the after-school program but also plan activities together with the classroom teacher. At school, we work together to improve our after-school programs during a common meeting time each week for staff who work there. We focus on after-school program development and create a forum for collegial learning. The work also involves collaboration with other teachers, after-school program teachers, student support services, guardians, and other external stakeholders. Our goal is for Bjurslättsskolan to be a pleasant and learning environment where students have influence and take responsibility together with adults for both their school day and their time in the after-school program. Qualifications We are seeking someone who is an accredited after-school program teacher. You have experience in meeting students in a clear and calm manner. It is important to us that you have the ability to motivate and inspire students to learn. You have strong pedagogical skills and we expect that you see each student from a holistic perspective and have a positive view of students where you are attentive to student differences and varying needs. You share the school's view that students do what is right when they are able. You build good relationships with students and colleagues and have a desire to help develop the school's activities. You have the ability to work systematically and together with others to complete tasks and reach goals.
