Description Rambergsskolan is a preschool through grade 6 school and one of Gothenburg City's oldest schools, inaugurated in 1916. The school is located next to Ramberget and Keillers park, which students often visit as part of our educational work. We have close access to large, green areas including hills, play areas, and soccer fields. The school has been renovated to be accessible for various functional variations. We have new group rooms, fresh classrooms, and upgraded corridors and dining hall. Additionally, the school has upgraded its schoolyard from asphalt to an activity-focused play area. Students, through the student council/after-school council, have influenced which play activities they want in the schoolyard. Favorites include zip lines, trampolines, balance beams, climbing cubes, swings, basketball, and our soccer arena. The school building is culturally heritage-protected and is part of Gothenburg City's program for preserving culturally and historically valuable buildings. At Rambergsskolan, safety and well-being are important. Our work is based on our anti-discrimination and harassment prevention plan and our values-based education work. Rambergsskolan's after-school program is one of Hisingen's largest, with 360 students and 10 departments. This provides us with tremendous opportunities for collaboration and development. With clear focus on the goals in our annual plan and active quality assurance work (systematic quality work), we ensure meaningful and developmentally enriching after-school time for every student. Job Responsibilities We are now seeking a licensed, curious, and committed colleague for Rambergsskolan's after-school program. As an after-school teacher, you will play a central role in developing an activity where students' curiosity, creativity, and learning are in focus. You are responsible for the pedagogical work and have great opportunities to influence both content and methods. You work closely with after-school leaders, teacher assistants, and student assistants to create a safe, stimulating, and developmentally enriching environment for students. The role also includes responsibility for systematic quality work in your department, where you have the opportunity to drive development and contribute your ideas. Our activities are based on national curriculum standards and central content for after-school programs, but we would like to see you explore, challenge, and find new ways to make learning meaningful and engaging for students. In addition to the above responsibilities, you are also expected to: Work to ensure all students succeed in their education. Participate in a team where you and colleagues share responsibility for teaching in the after-school program. Facilitate interaction between students and teachers. Be an active participant in the school's development work including digital development, increased achievement of goals, and leadership in the after-school department. Have special responsibility, together with educators, to strengthen teaching in the after-school program based on the curriculum. Work with safety and academic engagement to support student well-being. Provide instruction that stimulates students' development, learning, physical activity, and offers meaningful after-school time. Design instruction to meet individual student needs (accommodations and modifications). Engage with parents both educationally and informatively. Work with pedagogical assessments and follow up on intervention plans with the special educator. Handle harassment reports, investigations, and reporting, as well as manage conflicts that may arise between students. Be a collaborative partner for colleagues where teamwork is a natural working method. Qualifications We are seeking a licensed after-school teacher. You have the ability to build strong relationships with students and maintain safety and community in the after-school program. You use a range of methods to include all students and are prepared to try and continuously reassess your methods to meet the needs of your student group. You utilize outdoor environments in student learning while having strong digital competency. You have the ability to collaborate in various configurations and come with your own initiatives to solve problems. You can meet each student based on their individual circumstances, and your ability to approach each student's unique situation to develop social and academic skills is important. Your approach demonstrates a strong belief that all students will do well if they can. Furthermore, you are curious and willing to work within the activity model developed in our objectives and annual calendar, and you are both courageous and unpretentious enough to continue developing it together with us. We warmly welcome your application! The position is filled subject to it not being claimed for internal reasons.
