Båstad Montessoriskola Asken is located in the beautiful natural setting of Bjäre, in Grevie parish. The school is operated by Båstad Montessori economic association, a parent cooperative where the board consists of parents and staff. The association also operates two preschools in the municipality, with a combined total of approximately 225 children and approximately 53 adults in our programs. Montessoriskolan Asken has approximately 146 students ages 6–12 years old. We work in mixed-age classes based on a holistic approach where each student is seen and guided toward personal responsibility, development, and learning. The school and after-school program work closely together, and our staff collaborates to create a safe and cohesive day for students. We are now seeking a qualified and certified after-school program teacher who wants to become part of our after-school program and our school. We work closely with students using a conscious pedagogical approach. We see adults as important role models and work to create a program where students have the opportunity to develop independence, creativity, responsibility, and positive relationships. Sustainable development is a natural part of the school's work, and Asken is a certified Green Flag school. The after-school program is an important part of our overall operations. As an after-school program teacher, you participate in planning, implementing, developing, and following up on instruction in the after-school program based on the curriculum and the school's values. You work both independently and together with colleagues and actively contribute to the after-school program's pedagogical development. The position includes, among other things: - Planning, implementing, and following up on instruction in the after-school program - Creating a safe, stimulating, and movement-promoting environment for students - Planning activities that promote students' creativity, artistic expression, movement, and social development - Providing students with opportunities to participate and have influence over the program - Actively working with students' relationships, interaction, and ability to show consideration and respect for one another - Collaborating with primary school teachers and other pedagogical staff to promote students' development and learning - Contributing ideas, knowledge, and engagement in the ongoing development work at the after-school program We are looking for someone who is confident and stable in your professional role and who has the ability to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians. You recognize students' strengths and possibilities and can meet them with both support and high expectations based on their individual needs. You are resourceful and solution-oriented and have the ability to drive your own work forward. At the same time, you enjoy collaborating, sharing your knowledge, and developing the program together with others. We place great importance on personal suitability. We are looking for someone with a primary education degree with a focus on after-school program work or an earlier after-school education degree that provides qualification to teach in the after-school program. The position is initially a fixed-term employment with the possibility of a permanent position. The after-school program is open from 6:15 AM–5:30 PM, and working hours are within the program's operating hours.
