The Department of Education is responsible for preschool, pedagogical care, after-school programs, preschool class, primary school, adapted primary school, secondary school, adapted secondary school, municipal adult education, komvux as special education for adults, Swedish for immigrants (SFI), youth center, open preschool, and school of culture.
Preschool and after-school program activities are available at all seven F-6 schools, geographically distributed throughout the municipality.
Altorpskolan, the municipality's only grades 7-9 school, accepts students from all our F-6 schools and is strategically located in central Herrljunga. Kunskapskällan, the municipality's secondary school, is also located in Herrljunga town center.
The school and after-school program are located in Od near the church and book café, with proximity to forest and surrounded by fields. There are approximately 25 students in the after-school program and there is close collaboration with the school and teachers there.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As an after-school program teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, following up on, and developing the after-school program's activities in accordance with the curriculum (Lgr22), the Education Act, and the after-school program's values. You shall create a meaningful, safe, and stimulating program where students' development, learning, and well-being are central. Collaborate with teachers, student services, and other staff to create a comprehensive approach to student learning and development. Maintain good dialogue with guardians regarding students' well-being and development. Contribute to a professional and solution-focused team where experiences and competencies are shared.
The position is combined with other work at the school.
QUALIFICATIONS
You should have good knowledge of the curriculum's goals and mission for the after-school program. Ability to translate governing documents into practical activities. Good relationship-building and communication skills. Ability to lead groups and create engaging learning situations. Ability to work independently while contributing to the school's collective development. Knowledge of NPF and the approaches and working methods needed to support students with these difficulties.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months, start date: 2026-08-17. Start August 17 or by agreement. Fixed-term employment until December 18, 2026.
