Uttersberg School is located in Krokek, a larger community in Kolmården. We have approximately 350 children from preschool class through year 3 and we have approximately 53 employees and two school leaders at the school. We now have the opportunity to expand the number of qualified teachers in the after-school care and hope that you will apply to us. Our after-school care is divided into three to four grade-based departments and we work for student learning and well-being based on our goals that we jointly develop for each new school year. After-school care is important to give our students the best foundation for their future and they have the opportunity to try, reconsider and consolidate their knowledge through experience-based learning. This fall, we will be participating in the School Board's Language Initiative in after-school care, which aims to strengthen students' language development, reading interest and reading ability to improve students' knowledge of the Swedish language. We have a fantastic setting with proximity to swimming pools, libraries, artificial grass pitches and the Kolmården nature where we have access to two school forests. During winter we have proximity to sledding hills and ice skating rinks. From Norrköping there are good train and bus connections, with a bus/train every twenty minutes and the station in Krokek is only a five-minute walk from the school. Your work tasks In the role of after-school care teacher, you plan and are responsible for art instruction in year 1. You also plan, together with colleagues, for teaching in the after-school care. You are responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating after-school care activities. Activities are planned based on three theme areas; health, sustainable development, and technology. Within these areas, there is an extra focus on language and communication. Students' ideas and interests within each theme area are well utilized in various ways. You are also part of a work team together with all staff in a year group to be able to collaborate on students' entire day. Who are you? We are looking for someone who is a qualified teacher with credentials for working in after-school care, with a focus on art or experience teaching art. We would like you to have knowledge about after-school care's mission and be familiar with after-school care's curriculum and other policy documents. You have a commitment to pedagogical development work. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create trusting relationships with both students and guardians and with colleagues. We see that you work independently and take responsibility for your work tasks. You are clear in your leadership role, flexible in your working style and show a genuine interest in students' learning based on their different circumstances. As a person you take initiative in your work and you have high attendance. You are secure and conduct yourself courteously.
