In Sandviken's municipal primary schools, we work in a culture where collaboration and systematic quality work go hand in hand. Here we create a safe and supportive environment with high expectations, which gives students good opportunities to reach their goals. Digital development has long been a natural part of our operations, and every student has access to their own computer as support in their teaching. Hedängskolan grades 6-9 is a school with approximately 260 students and approximately 35 employees. The school is located in Storvik with good communication options by bus/train. In the school's surrounding area there is nature, ski trails, ice rink, swimming pool, sports field, and newly built sports hall that are used in operations. The school grounds also have a grades F-5 school with which we have good cooperation.

WORK DUTIES
As a Social Studies teacher for grades 7-9, you will be an important part of creating teaching where student development is at the center. You work both independently and together with the work team to develop teaching in a sustainable and thoughtful way.
You contribute by:
• Creating teaching that is based on students' needs and conditions
• Being a clear leader and role model in the classroom
• Building good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians
• Actively participating in the school's development work in digitalization, values, and language development

• Sharing experiences and knowledge in collegial forums
• Working with a solution-focused approach
• Developing teaching together in work teams
• Having shared responsibility for students' safety and learning
QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in the role, you need to have good pedagogical insight and understand how students acquire knowledge in different ways. You adapt teaching based on the individual's needs and create conditions for learning. A structured approach helps you plan and follow up on teaching in a clear and effective way.
Collaboration is a natural part of everyday life. You work attentively with colleagues, share experiences, and contribute to an open climate where teaching develops together. In a changing school environment, it is also important to be able to take in new ideas and approaches and see the possibilities in them. By being development-oriented, you contribute to the school's shared learning.
The assignment requires:
• Teacher certification with qualification in one or more Social Studies subjects
• Good knowledge of primary school curricula
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both oral and written
Good digital skills and experience using digital tools are merits.
