Together, we focus on continuously improving our operations. Brönjaskolan is a grades 7–9 school in Sävast, seven kilometers outside Boden center, with approximately 250 students. Brönjaskolan has three work teams organized by grade level and a well-developed, unit-anchored student welfare system. The student welfare team consists of a special education teacher, school speech-language pathologist, education and career counselor, school social worker, and school nurse. Brönjaskolan also has a safety team consisting of a safety coordinator and safety resource, who work actively to create relationships, security, and study peace for our students. Our focus areas are increased goal achievement through higher student attendance and strengthened reading and writing skills across all school subjects. After all, don't you also want one of the world's most important jobs? 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES We are now seeking an engaged English teacher and language elective instructor for Brönjaskolan. Your primary teaching is in English, but you will also lead groups in English during language elective time. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction in accordance with applicable curricula and contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for our students. You will be part of one of the school's work teams and collaborate closely with colleagues on students' learning development and well-being. The position also includes the assignment of contact teacher for a group of students. In that role, you actively work to create the best conditions for students to develop, thrive, and feel safe in their schooling. You are expected to contribute to the school's development work and be an active part of collegial learning at the school. QUALIFICATIONS We are primarily seeking someone who is a certified teacher with authorization to teach English for grades 7–9. Qualifications in additional subjects are meritorious. Qualifications or experience in teaching French is particularly meritorious. We want you to be open to varying working methods, collaboration, and school development. You have good pedagogical insights and are well versed in the school's curricula and systematic quality work. Your pedagogical and social skills make it easy for you to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are skilled at creating safe and developmental learning environments where students are given the opportunity to progress as far as possible in their learning. You have good experience using digital tools in instruction and see digitalization as a natural part of pedagogical work. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
