About the School
Praktiska Gymnasiet in Helsingborg offers students a concept that combines theory with practical exercises both at school and at work sites. At Praktiska, we set high standards for ourselves to create the best conditions for meaningful and enjoyable education. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, personal connection, and practical learning. Our students study in the Vehicle Program, Industrial Program, Construction Program, Plumbing and Heating Program, Electrical Program, and Hairdressing Program. Currently, the school has approximately 290 students and about 40 staff members.
Praktiska Gymnasiet in Helsingborg offers apprenticeship education. We are located in the Berga industrial area and have our own workshops. We are a small school with strong cohesion where everyone knows everyone. Our dedicated staff are always there for students, providing the guidance they need to succeed in their education.

Your Assignment
This position is initially a temporary assignment for 100% equivalent, starting 08/10. You will teach and mentor our students in English and Swedish, and work as part of a team with other colleagues. You will have colleagues with the same subject combination and shared schedule positions, providing excellent opportunities to plan and develop teaching together. Depending on the student group and needs, there is the possibility of working in a co-teaching model or other forms of close pedagogical collaboration. We see you as an important and driving force who, with students at the center and in collaboration with colleagues, will develop both the program and the subject. Beyond subject-specific tasks, you will, like other teachers at the school, take on roles such as mentor, and together you and your colleagues will coach students both socially and academically throughout their three years at Praktiska Gymnasiet. We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft and work in a Google environment through sharing digital documents, calendars, and planning—both with students and colleagues.
Your Profile
We are looking for a certified upper secondary teacher of English and Swedish. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. We value your ability to meet students according to their knowledge and needs, and your identification with our values and core principles. Our students are eager to enter the workforce, and your greatest task is to guide them there!
