Job Responsibilities
For each student to achieve as much as possible, we need skilled teachers with great commitment to students. At Kunskapsskolan, we put the individual at the center and therefore are looking for someone who actively works to help their students succeed.
In addition to being a subject teacher in English, you will also serve as a personal mentor, which means you have mentoring conversations weekly with a group of students. You help them plan and set goals for their studies and follow up on these goals together with both the students and their guardians.
At Kunskapsskolan, we have a strong emphasis on teamwork. You are never alone with challenges and questions. We work together to plan work within grade level and subject teams. There is great openness among teachers and we share responsibility for our students.
To make your work easier and enable you to focus your time on students, we have gathered some of our teaching materials on our digital portal Kunskapsporten. For each subject, there are suggestions for teaching methods, tasks, and materials.
All new employees receive thorough orientation and continuous follow-up throughout the entire first year to help them learn our approach and routines.
Qualifications
We are seeking a certified English teacher for grades 7-9. You should be well familiar with LGR-22 and formative assessment. Of course, you also have excellent knowledge of Swedish - both spoken and written.
Desirable Qualifications
We would like you to have several years of experience in teaching and mentoring or mentorship. We want you to be someone who collaborates easily with colleagues, students, and guardians and who is solutions-focused.
We place great value on your commitment, your pedagogical competence, and your ability as a mentor. We want you to be a stable and trustworthy person who can build confidence with students.
Position Details
This is a fixed-term position at 50% during school year 26/27. There may be the possibility of extended employment in combination with teaching Swedish.
