Description
Glöstorpskolan is a grades 4-9 school. The school has capacity for 720 students and opened in August 2021. The school includes two special instruction groups (level 2), Nova and Nedergård. The facilities are modern and well-designed, and we have a large and beautiful schoolyard. We are now seeking an art teacher for instruction in grades 7-9 for a permanent position.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for planning and implementing instruction as well as grading in grades 7–9. You will be part of an engaged and supportive team of teachers who teach grades 7-9. Together with a colleague, you will serve as a mentor for a class in grade 7. It is important to us that you are a good role model, that you enjoy working with young people, and that you are genuinely interested in didactic challenges of both analog and digital nature.
Qualifications
We are seeking someone who is a certified teacher with authorization to teach art in grades 7-9. Students at Glöstorpskolan want to succeed in their studies, and there is strong engagement at school and at home. We believe this could be an opportunity for you if you are newly graduated and want to gain your first experience in a secure environment, or if you are a teacher new to the area and want to get to know Göteborg at the same time.
As a person, you have a good understanding of how individuals learn and their different circumstances. You adapt your way of communicating your message to your audience and encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. You work well with others by listening, showing interest and respect. You understand the shared mission and work to make it as good as possible.
Furthermore, you can communicate information and ideas clearly both verbally and in writing. You ensure that your message gets across. You adapt your communication to your audience, target group, and situation. You remain calm and confident in stressful and difficult situations. You can balance the demands placed on you and can make well-founded decisions despite time pressure.
