About the School Gamlestadsskolan is a grades F-9 school located in the heart of the historic Gamlestaden district, with students primarily from the surrounding area and the rest of East Gothenburg. The Gamlestaden district is currently in a very expansive phase with several planned projects to become one of Gothenburg's most important hubs for communication, housing, and services in the future. Gamlestadsskolan has approximately 550 students in grades F-9 and we have four after-school programs where our youngest students can receive care. The school is organized so that there are smaller schools within the larger school, all to increase proximity and ensure everyone feels seen. We actively work to create a sense of "we" where the school's teachers and students collectively feel responsibility for the school's environment and well-being. Qualifications Requirements We are looking for someone who is educated and certified as a teacher for grades 4-6 and is credentialed to teach Swedish, Mathematics, English, and Social Studies.
