Description Bjurslättsskolan is now recruiting two teachers for grades 4-6. One teacher for grade 4 teaching Swedish, mathematics, and social studies, and one teacher for grade 5 teaching Swedish, mathematics, natural sciences, and technology. These are permanent full-time positions (100%). Broad subject certification is considered a merit, and mentorship responsibilities are included in the roles. Bjurslättsskolan is located in Kvillebäcken, near Wieselgrensplatsen in central Hisingen, in an expanding neighborhood where old meets new. The area is a mixed socioeconomic neighborhood around the school. Our school serves students from preschool through grade 6, including adapted elementary school and after-school care. The school has approximately 600 students and about 100 staff members. The school has one principal and three assistant principals, each responsible for their section: grades F-2, grades 3-6, and adapted elementary school. Near the school there are beautiful green spaces such as Flunsåsparken and Slättadamm, as well as a very popular football field. At our school, you will meet an engaged and positive team. Responsibilities You will, in close collaboration with your colleagues, be responsible for planning, teaching, and follow-up within your subjects. Qualifications We seek a certified teacher with authorization to teach Swedish, mathematics, and social studies or natural sciences in grades 4-6. You have good knowledge of the curriculum and other governing documents, and use them as a natural foundation in your instruction and pedagogical planning. You have good digital competence and use digital tools in a thoughtful and pedagogically sound way to develop, vary, and strengthen student learning. You actively work with visual supports and clear pedagogical practices to create structure, predictability, and accessibility in instruction. You are confident and clear in your leadership and have a strong ability to create a structured, inclusive, and positive learning environment where students feel engaged and have good conditions to develop to their full potential.
