Magelungen Utveckling is an employee-owned corporation offering qualified treatment and developmental work for children, youth, young adults, and their families. Magelungen operates treatment and resource schools at the primary and secondary education levels. Our goal is to create environments in our operations that are manageable, meaningful, and comprehensible. Research and evaluation are integrated components in all our activities. We are now seeking a certified teacher in Mathematics and preferably another subject. The position also includes expanded mentorship for approximately 6 students. Experience, knowledge, and training in special education is considered a merit. Our students all carry school trauma from their previous schools, making it especially important that you are experienced working with students who have difficulties in either academic areas and/or social areas. Your relationship with the student can make the difference in whether they succeed or not! We would like you to have the following personal qualities and experience: Strong communicator—we communicate extensively with students and their families as well as external stakeholders when needed. Growth-minded and flexible—we are both a learning and growing organization. A genuine interest in youth "outside the mainstream." Strong team player—to succeed, we must do it together. You will work closely with student support staff, therapists, teachers, and management. We need someone with knowledge and humility toward other professionals' expertise for collaboration. Equal parts seriousness, commitment, and humor. Enhanced relational competence with the ability to lift students both academically and toward greater self-esteem. Interested in participating in and developing thematic work. Experience working with Google Classroom, Google Meet, SchoolSoft. The position is planned as full-time, 100%.
