Activity Description Mariaskolan is a grades F-6 school with approximately 130 students and an after-school program, located in a residential area near the city center. At Mariaskolan, the Gällivare Model project is underway, which means that each class has both a teaching-responsible teacher and a class mentor. Your work includes planning and instruction for the after-school program, with primary focus on the divisions from pre-K through grade 6. You collaborate with class mentors and teacher assistants in the daily work at the after-school program. Your work also includes collaborating with other school staff as part of your assignment. Qualifications We are looking for someone who holds certification to work in after-school programs and has a present and attentive approach to students' varying needs, is a clear leader, and has strong collaboration skills. You are independent, responsible, and take initiative readily. We develop our work through pedagogical conversations and collegial learning and see it as a strength to help one another to dare to be curious about new ways of working. Personal suitability is given great weight. Upon employment, we require a criminal record clearance from the police. Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare Municipality is an administrative municipality for Sámi, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is a merit in applications for employment in Gällivare Municipality. Work Hours/Duration Part-time 50%, permanent position. Trial employment may be applied.
