The Pre-School and Primary Education Administration is one of Varbergs Municipality's largest administrations with close to 2,200 employees. Ankarskolan and Spannarps School share a common catchment area in the southwestern part of Varbergs Municipality. All students are offered equivalent education of good quality in a stimulating and safe environment. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS You will work as part of a substitute pool in grades F-9 either as a substitute class teacher or as a substitute at the after-school program. You may teach students in grades F-9 in both theoretical and practical subjects as well as at the after-school program. The work is primarily at Ankarskolan but you may also need to work at Spannarp School. You may have responsibility for planning activities individually and together with others. Motivating and inspiring students is your greatest driving force. As a teacher in the after-school program with us, you have a central role in creating a safe, developing, and motivating environment for students where we create the best possible meeting for learning. Together with your colleagues, you form a relational leadership where the quality of teaching is in focus. By planning, implementing, and following up on your varied teaching, you give students the opportunity to develop both socially and academically. You work to strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through play, creative activities, and movement. Examples of work tasks: - Design teaching that is based on scientific foundation and proven experience. - Take responsibility for clear leadership that promotes students' learning, participation, and influence. - Plan and follow up on teaching in the after-school program based on your choice of pedagogical and didactic strategies, adapted to students' needs. - Meet each student in their learning progression and contribute to developing accessible learning environments. - Collaborate with colleagues to create continuity in students' learning throughout the school day. - Take responsibility for being a good role model and contribute to an organization for planning and evaluation of teaching. QUALIFICATIONS As a substitute, you need to be flexible and have clear leadership skills and the ability to create calm in the classroom. You need to have good communication and collaboration skills since you will meet and collaborate with colleagues throughout the school. As a teacher in the after-school program, you are engaged and have a formative approach with the ability to create motivating and activating teaching. Your teaching is based on proven experience and scientific foundation with an exploratory approach. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues and actively contribute to developing the program by planning and following up on teaching together. You have good structure in your work and can adapt teaching based on students' needs and school goals. Together, we share responsibility for creating a sustainable working environment where both students and staff thrive, can grow, and develop. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. To succeed in this role, you have: - Teacher certification with qualifications for teaching in an after-school program. - A holistic view of learning and teaching where you see opportunities to support students' development throughout the school day. - Good assessment skills to follow up on students' development and provide constructive feedback. - Clear planning ability to structure lessons and work areas in an organized manner. - Good didactic ability to translate the curriculum's purpose into practical activities. - Good collaboration skills and a relationship-building approach. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 3-6 months, start date: 2026-08-17. Start date by agreement, ends: 2026-12-22. The position involves varying working hours based on needs and may involve work five days a week. Our program is open Monday to Friday between 6:15 AM and 6:30 PM.
