At Hedesunda School, children from preschool class to grade 6 attend. Approximately 190 students go here. All work is based on the safety and well-being that we create together through caring for each other and through active safety work. We have a good working environment in fresh facilities, in a beautiful and stimulating environment. There is also a branch of the city library here, an important part of the education.
We offer good school childcare at our afterschool program. For older students, there is an after-school club at the school. We work hard to strengthen reading in various ways, because we know that good readers have good conditions for knowledge development. With us, children from preschool class to grade six attend. We have structured and intensive student health work to identify and support students who need it.

WORK DUTIES
Would you like to be part of creating a safe, fun and developmental everyday life for our students at Hedesunda School? Great, then this might be a position for you! We are now looking for an engaged teacher for our afterschool program.
Your work duties include, among other things:
• That you are responsible for planning and teaching in the afterschool program.
• Together with your colleagues, you contribute to creating a school where everyone feels safe and seen as students, guardians and staff.
• Creating an inclusive and supportive school environment where every student feels seen and encouraged to reach their full potential.
• That the work is carried out in collaboration with other educators, student health services and guardians.
QUALIFICATIONS
In this role, you actively contribute to a culture where we together take responsibility for creating the best conditions for students' learning and development. You are happy to share your ideas, take in others' perspectives and see collegial learning as a natural part of the assignment.
We are looking for you who:
• Have teacher certification with qualifications to teach in the afterschool program.
• Are familiar with and have knowledge of the curriculum for primary school as well as for preschool class and afterschool program.
• Have the ability to express yourself well in Swedish in both speech and writing, as it is required in work in dialogue with colleagues, guardians and students.
It is meritorious if you have:
• Experience and knowledge of working with digital tools, for example Unikum.
• Studied to become a preschool teacher.
To succeed in the role, you have:
• A natural ability to lead and motivate students and to help them feel comfortable and do well.
• An easy way to find new perspectives, see opportunities and adapt to different situations.
• The ability to create trusting relationships with both students, guardians and colleagues.
• An inclusive approach that makes every student feel belonging and safety.
• The ability to plan and organize your work well.
• Good collaboration skills with colleagues, students, guardians and other stakeholders.
As a final candidate, you must be able to show a police record from the police for work in school or preschool. This should not be attached to your application.

Duration: start: 2026-09-14, end: 2027-05-03.
Working hours: Daytime.
