Sandarnaskolan is an almost brand new school with fresh and well-designed facilities. The school is located by Sannaparken in Majorna and currently has approximately 240 students from preschool through grade 6. We share a building with a care and elderly housing facility, which we believe is positive for both older and young people. We are now seeking a teacher to work in the middle grades.
Duties
We are looking for someone who is confident in your role as a teacher and mentor and who wants to be part of developing our operations where we focus on increasing the quality of instruction and creating good learning environments. As a teacher, mentoring is part of your assignment.
We work in teams and you will have close collaboration with your nearest colleagues. It is important that you enjoy this and see yourself as a team player. You plan, implement, follow up, and evaluate instruction based on students' different needs and abilities, with a focus on creating a safe, stimulating, and developmental learning environment. At Sandarnaskolan we work with PALS, which is an important part of our values-based work.
Qualifications
You are a certified teacher with authorization to teach Swedish and mathematics for grades 4-6. Beyond that, we would like to see that you are authorized in English and/or Science. Broad authorization is a plus. We are looking for someone who is a clear pedagogical leader in the classroom and preferably has previous experience in the teaching profession.
As a person, you are low-key, have an inclusive approach, and meet each child based on individual circumstances and needs. You are flexible, responsive, engaged, and want to drive development in the operation forward. Furthermore, you are communicative and have an easy time building relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
