Description Do you want to be part of creating a school where every student has the opportunity to succeed? At Kålltorpsskolan 1–9 resource school, we are now seeking an engaged and confident teacher for grades 4-6 for a temporary position. The need is from November 2026 to January 2028. The school is located in Björkekärr and accommodates approximately 45 students from grades 1–9. Classes consist of 5-8 students depending on age and needs. Gothenburg City's resource schools offer a safe and adapted school environment for students requiring comprehensive and lasting special support. With small student groups, high staff-to-student ratios, and strong commitment to each student's development, we work together to create an inclusive and meaningful education. Job Responsibilities We are now seeking a teacher for middle school. You will be a class teacher in an age-mixed class with 6 students, teaching Swedish, English, mathematics, and social studies. You will also teach English to all middle school students. As the teacher, you are responsible for instruction but have a school support educator and student assistant to support student learning. You are rarely alone in the classroom, so collaboration between you is important. As a teacher, you will work with other teachers and staff, and you are responsible for designing the educational program so that each student's unique circumstances and abilities are recognized and challenged. Together you will create the best conditions for student learning by planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating instruction. With shared focus, you work purposefully so that students achieve the goals of the curriculum and course plans. Qualifications We are seeking a certified and qualified teacher for grades 4–6 instruction in Swedish, mathematics, English, and social studies. You have knowledge of and experience working from a low-arousal approach. Experience that would strengthen your application includes: • working in SU-groups with students with NPF diagnoses • differentiated instruction • AAC, alternative and augmentative communication We are seeking someone who is confident, stable, and able to make well-founded decisions even in high-pressure situations. You are attentive and have a respectful and professional demeanor in interactions with both students and colleagues.
