Romaskolan is a K-9 school with approximately 330 students that is part of the Roma school district, which also includes school units in Vänge, Kräklingbo, Dalhem, and Endre—all K-6 schools. Students from these schools travel by bus to varying degrees to receive instruction in multiple subjects at Romaskolan. The school has excellent communications and a pleasant outdoor environment. We are now seeking a K-3 teacher for Romaskolan's lower grades who inspires, develops, and takes an inclusive approach where you adapt the learning environment for all students' benefit. Your responsibilities You will work in close collaboration with several colleagues and be part of a team. This provides excellent opportunities to develop a shared vision regarding instruction, approach, decisions, and joint activities. In our systematic quality work, we focus especially on three priority areas: instruction, grades and assessment, and safety and study environment. These areas permeate our collaborative work and create a clear direction for school development. As part of our work on safety and the relational perspective, we also use PAX in school, a method that strengthens positive behaviors and interaction patterns. PAX gives us shared strategies for creating predictability, building good relationships, and promoting study environment and student participation. Instruction should be based on a holistic view of students—their needs, interests, knowledge, and previous experiences. The goal is to continuously challenge them further, spark curiosity, and inspire new discoveries and deeper learning. Work must always follow the School Act and Lgr22, which describe education's goals and frameworks. Instruction is adapted based on students' individual conditions and needs to provide each student with the best possible conditions for success. You work with high and positive expectations and see good relationships with both students and guardians as an obvious and important starting point in your work. Together with colleagues, you create engaging and structured learning environments through clear and low-affect leadership. You take responsibility for your professional development and actively participate in relevant competence development to continue growing and contribute to school development. Who are you? You have a teaching degree or will soon obtain one. We see that you have a positive outlook and believe in every individual's desire to develop and learn. You are unpretentious, relational, and solution-focused, and you understand the value of working in a team and learning together. You have the ability to work independently and goal-oriented according to Lgr22. You can collaborate with the school's student support team when needed. It is important that you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances in operations. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
