Our educational activities are located in our three towns Ramnäs, Virsbo, and Surahammar.
They include preschool, preschool class, primary school, adapted primary school, after-school centers, and youth recreation centers.
Hammarskolan is a development-oriented and pleasant school located in Surahammar with proximity to public transportation. Within the school's area are two main buildings, cafeteria, gymnasium, artificial grass field, and ice rink.
The school has adapted classrooms for PREST subjects as well as science instruction.
We have a special instruction group as well as a smaller support group. We have a maximum of 24 students in each class.

WORK DUTIES
We are seeking a substitute teacher in English and Swedish for instruction in grades 7-9.
Your work duties include, among other things, responsibility for instruction in your subjects, documentation and assessment of student learning, follow-up and analysis of results with the goal of improving students' goal achievement.
You are responsible for meeting students in the best way based on their individual needs, and together with additional educational staff you take responsibility for the individual's and group's development.

QUALIFICATIONS
You are a certified teacher for grades 7-9 in English and Swedish.
You are organized and clear in your instruction. You can individualize content and methods to deliver the instruction needed for students to learn, develop, and feel safe.
You have good subject didactic knowledge, good leadership ability, and this shows in your instruction.
With your solution-focused approach you have a positive attitude and see it as your responsibility to create good and sustainable relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
You have good collaboration skills and look at the whole picture for each student.
Employment Type: Fixed-term contract.
Duration: 3-6 months, start date: By agreement, recruitment is ongoing and placement may occur before the application period closes, end date: 2026-12-31.
Before you can be employed, you must show a valid extract from the police's suspicion register and from the criminal record register, which is no more than 6 months old.
During the interview you will need to verify your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a personal ID certificate together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
