The services include open preschool, preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, after-school care, upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, arts school, the municipal activity responsibility, and youth centers. Södermalmsskolan is part of the central school district and is a grades F-9 school with approximately 850 students and many competent staff members. The facilities and schoolyard are divided into grades F-3, 4-6, and 7-9, where each level has its own naturally defined area with space for play and creativity. DUTIES As a teacher, you will plan, implement, and evaluate instruction for grades 4-6 based on the current curriculum and course plans. Your responsibilities, beyond teaching, also include mentoring duties. As a mentor, you have an important role in creating and maintaining a comprehensive picture of the student's development, both academically and socially. The mentoring role includes leading development conversations and, when needed, maintaining ongoing contact with guardians to support student learning and well-being. Collaboration with students, guardians, and colleagues is an important part of the assignment, and you will work together with other pedagogues in your team to ensure that operations develop so that each student has the best possible conditions for development and learning. You will be part of a team where you share experiences, expertise, ideas, and work satisfaction. We also view pedagogical documentation as an integral part of our systematic quality work and operational development. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking someone with a teacher education degree and teacher certification with eligibility for grades 4-6, but we also welcome those in the final stages of their studies. Since language is our primary tool, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. We consider it advantageous if you have: • Experience working with children in need of special support • Experience working with language and knowledge-development teaching methods • Knowledge of digital learning platforms • Interest in IT. As a teacher with us, you are calm and stable and can handle challenges that occur both inside and outside the classroom. We take it for granted that you have good pedagogical insight, that you understand how students acquire knowledge and their different circumstances. You adapt your way of conveying information, inspire learning, and create engagement and participation. It is important that you have good collaboration skills and build positive relationships with both colleagues, students, and guardians. You have a good ability to create structure, see opportunities in change, and consider the best interests of the entire operation in your actions and decisions.
