Read more about what we offer at www.boden.se/jobbaiboden Torpgärdsskolan is located in a large residential area approximately 5 km from Boden's center, with its main catchment area including Bodsvedjan, Norrbyarna, Norra Svartbyn, Södra Svartbyn, and Torpgärdan. The school has approximately 300 students, two parallel classes from preschool through grade 6. We have three after-school programs - Galaxen and Kometen, as well as Stjärnans after-school center. Torpgärdsskolan has a large schoolyard with both forest and grassy areas that provide students with plenty of space to play. The proximity to forest and nature contributes to the school's excellent opportunities for outdoor activities of various kinds. At Torpgärdsskolan, we encourage active recess periods as well as brain breaks and movement challenges during the school day. Prioritized goals that the school works with are reading, writing, and arithmetic - this is prioritized in the school's development work across all grade levels. You will work closely with other teachers at the school and after-school staff. In addition to this, you will: - be a class teacher and mentor in a class - be responsible for teaching in some of the following subjects: mathematics, science subjects, technology, social studies, Swedish, English - be responsible for planning instruction, implementing and assessing, as well as documenting your work. - work together with other teachers at the school to ensure students have a positive and meaningful school day where knowledge development and social training are in focus. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you as a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach grades 4-6 in some of the subjects: mathematics, science subjects, technology, social studies, Swedish, English. Qualifications in multiple subjects are meritorious. Experience is meritorious. - You can work independently, have good social skills, and are responsible and engaged. - You have a positive and professional approach toward both students, parents, and colleagues. - You have good leadership with clear lesson structure, clear expectations, and you build good relationships. - You are flexible and can adapt when the school's needs change.
