Your Responsibilities As a teacher, your starting point is to work with planning, instruction, evaluation, and values-based education based on the curriculum. This work occurs both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. As a teacher, you see the student's entire school day as important, and you therefore collaborate with both guardians and colleagues regarding the student. You work from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging instruction. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching. To support student learning, as well as your own and the organization's development, you take advantage of different professions' experiences and knowledge. This position is a temporary contract for the period 2026-11-02 through 2027-06-16 and involves instruction and mentorship in Grade 3. You teach all theoretical subjects as well as music and art. You are part of a work team with close collaboration and cooperate with after-school programs. Your Workplace Vreta Kloster School is beautifully situated between Vreta Kloster Church and Göta Kanal near Berg Locks. There are good commute options as bus connections are excellent. The school has just over 370 students in Grades F-6 and five after-school program units. Our outdoor environment is fantastic with a large schoolyard where we have space for instruction, play, sports, and other outdoor activities. We also frequently use our local area. The school operates under a multi-teacher system with cooperative teaching methods where great focus is placed on process and lesson design to create curiosity, engagement, and enthusiasm. We currently have 56 staff members in the organization, we have a good atmosphere in the staff group, and we enjoy working together. At Vreta Kloster School, we actively work with safety, motivation, and knowledge progression, and this year our focus is on leadership and community. As a teacher with us, you will be part of a work team that together plans, implements, and evaluates instruction. The school has well-developed systematic analysis and quality work in which you participate with your colleagues to develop instruction and work methods. The leadership team drives the school and school development together with several driving groups. We are also a practice school. About You Firstly, we seek you who have teaching certification with authorization to teach Swedish, Social Studies, and English in Grades F-3. Secondly, we seek you with completed teacher education for Grades F-3. Alternatively, you are in the final stages of your teacher education for Grades F-3. It is advantageous if you have authorization to teach multiple subjects in Grade 3, based on the organization's needs. It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-guided school through practice or as an employee. It is advantageous if you have taught in Grades F-3 for at least one school year or if you have experience with students in need of special support. In your role as a teacher in Grades F-3, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communicative ability in spoken and written Swedish. This is so that according to the curriculum (Lgr22) you organize and conduct the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way. As a teacher in Grades F-3, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your instruction to the students and let them participate in designing the instruction. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it.
