Welcome to Sätra School! Your responsibilities As a teacher, your starting point is to work with planning, instruction, evaluation, and values-based education based on the curriculum. The work happens both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. As a teacher, you view the student's entire school day as important and therefore collaborate with both guardians and colleagues regarding student development. As part of this, the school and after-school care activities work together to achieve higher learning goals and create the best conditions for each student. You work from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging instruction. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching. You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection during both planned and spontaneous moments. To support student learning and your own and the school's development, you draw on the experiences and knowledge of various professionals. This position is located at Sätra School, where you work closely with colleagues in the school's work teams and two after-school teams. The position involves instruction in B-form, which means teaching can occur in mixed-age classes. Your workplace Brokind and Sätra Schools are characterized by learning, safety, community, and engagement. Here, dedicated and competent educators work with the ambition to create meaningful learning together to reach each student's full potential. The schools share a management structure and collaborate on student education. Sätra School is a small unit with strong community spirit located in Bestorp. We have classes from preschool through grade 6 with currently 88 students. The facility is situated in a calm and safe environment in a beautiful natural area. From Bestorp center, it takes approximately 5–10 minutes to reach the school by bicycle path. The area includes a school forest with shelters and a grill area, making outdoor life and outdoor education a natural part of the school's daily activities. We also have an after-school program at the school where we work extensively with student influence to make students active participants in the activities. Our goal is for all students to receive an equal and joyful education with maximum learning in focus. You will join an engaged work team focused on learning that works together for each student. Together we develop our activities toward our shared goals: higher achievement through safety, increased motivation for learning, and a focus on reading, writing, and math. About you First priority: we are looking for someone with teacher certification and authorization to teach Swedish, English, Social Studies, Science, Math, and Technology in grades F-3. Second priority: we are looking for someone with completed teacher education for grades F-3. Alternatively, you are nearing the end of your teacher education for grades F-3. It is meritorious if you are authorized to teach students with severe language disorders. It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-based school through internship or as an employee. In your role as a teacher in grades F-3, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well-acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have strong communication skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is because, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), you shall organize and conduct the work so that students receive support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way. As a teacher in grades F-3, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your instruction to students and involve them in shaping the instruction. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for student development and learning and document it. You work well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in society relevant to your professional role. It is a requirement that you have a category B driver's license and access to your own car, since public transportation to and from Sätra School is limited.
