Botkyrka's major school initiative, Eleonoraskolan, is the largest and most modern of its kind and an important part of the municipality's comprehensive school investment.
Eleonoraskolan has a mathematical and natural science profile with a strong digital focus and an "After School" program that is open in the afternoons for all students. The school plays a central role in educating and inspiring the next generation in the municipality in a modern and innovative educational environment.
Eleonoraskolan accommodates nearly 1,000 students from preschool class through grade 9, as well as adapted primary school.
Job Duties
We are now seeking an engaged and skilled teacher for grades 7–9 with certification in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language. You are also certified in at least one additional subject, preferably mathematics or one of the natural sciences (NO).
You are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction based on the curriculum and educational directives. In your role, you actively work with language and knowledge development teaching methods and create instruction that challenges, motivates, and gives each student the opportunity to reach their full potential.
You are part of a work team where collaboration, collegial learning, and shared development are a natural part of the operation. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to the school's continued development and who sees digital tools and AI as a natural part of modern teaching.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who holds teacher certification with the authority to teach Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language for grades 7–9. You are also qualified to teach at least one additional subject, where certification in mathematics or one of the natural sciences (NO) is advantageous.
You have a good ability to use and guide students in digital tools that support instruction and learning. You have experience integrating digital aids to strengthen student engagement and goal achievement and an interest in developing instruction with the help of AI and other modern digital tools in a pedagogically sound and responsible manner.
You exercise clear pedagogical leadership in the classroom and actively work to create a safe, inclusive, and study-conducive learning environment. You have an active approach both inside and outside the classroom and help create a positive, safe, and developmental school environment. You build good relationships with students and colleagues, are present in the school's shared work, and understand the importance of being a positive adult role model throughout the school day. You take initiative, collaborate willingly with colleagues, and actively contribute to the school's continued development.
You can differentiate instruction to meet different students' needs and circumstances and work in language and knowledge development ways to give all students the best possible conditions to succeed. You work closely with other teachers and school staff to create a cohesive and successful learning environment.
You are clear and professional in your communication with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have the desire and ability to continuously develop your instruction through professional development and collegial learning, and you are curious about new pedagogical approaches and digital tools.
We place great importance on you having a genuine commitment to students' learning and development and a desire to be part of developing Eleonoraskolan based on the school's vision and high ambitions. You have excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and a good ability to work on language development in all aspects of your instruction.
