Your responsibilities This position involves teaching students in the IVAS Introduction Program, Individuell Alternativ (IMA). Students here work toward grades 7-9 primary school objectives with the aim of achieving upper secondary school eligibility. Our students are on the autism spectrum and have a background of school absence. All students study primary school subjects and follow an individualized study plan based on each student's prerequisites and needs. This means the students you teach, lesson content, and the level of instruction will vary. As a teacher, your starting point is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and values-based education based on the curriculum. The work is conducted both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. As a grades 7-9 teacher, you collaborate with guardians, colleagues, and others in the school to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You base your approach on the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging instruction. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching. You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection at both planned and spontaneous occasions. To support student learning and your own and the school's development, you draw on the experiences and knowledge of different professionals. Your workplace Linnégymnasiet is an upper secondary school in central Linköping that offers a safe and stimulating study environment with engaged and well-educated teachers. Part of Linnégymnasiet's operations is specially adapted for students on the autism spectrum (IVAS) with small teaching groups, high staff density, and adapted facilities. The school offers vocational programs, college-preparatory programs, and introduction programs. This position is within the Introduction Program, Individuell Alternativ (IMA), which serves approximately 40 students with autism. The school individualized instruction toward primary school grades 7-9 objectives in a calm and adapted learning environment. Our close and team-based collaboration is a unique and valued way of working at the school. About you First, we are seeking someone with teacher certification and authorization to teach mathematics in grades 7-9. Second, we seek someone with completed teacher education for grades 7-9. Alternatively, you are nearing the end of your teacher education for grades 7-9. It is meritorious if you have authorization to teach mathematics in grades 4-9 or science subjects in grades 7-9. It is also meritorious if you have special education teacher training. You must have experience working in a curriculum-based school through internship or employment. It is meritorious if you have taught in grades 7-9 for at least one academic year or if you have experience with students on the autism spectrum. In your role as a grades 7-9 teacher, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well familiar with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have strong communication skills, both spoken and written, in Swedish. This is because, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), you must organize and conduct your work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way. As a teacher, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your instruction to students and involve them in shaping the teaching. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for student development and learning and document this. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in society who are relevant to your professional role.
