Your Responsibilities
As a teacher, your foundation is to work with planning, instruction, evaluation, and values-based education based on the curriculum. The work is done both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
As a teacher in grades 7-9, you collaborate with guardians, colleagues, and others in the school to achieve higher learning goals and create the best conditions for every student. You work with the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging instruction. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.
You promote collaborative learning through discussion and reflection at both planned and spontaneous moments. To support student learning and your own and the organization's development, you draw on the experiences and knowledge of various professionals.
The position includes mentoring together with colleagues, where you collectively support students and maintain contact with guardians.

Tokarpsskolan is a middle school located in northern Malmslätt with approximately 400 students and 55 employees. About You
First priority: you have teacher certification with qualification to teach Swedish and English in grades 7-9. Second priority: you have completed teacher education for grades 7-9. Alternatively, you are near the end of your teacher education for grades 7-9.
It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-based school through practice or as an employed teacher. It is an asset if you have taught grades 7-9 for at least one school year. It is also an asset if you have experience with grading or documenting student learning during the school year.
In your role as a teacher in grades 7-9, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are familiar with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communication skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is because, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), you should organize and conduct your work so that the student receives support in language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.
As a teacher, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your instruction to students and let them participate in shaping the instruction. In a quality-conscious way, you create good conditions for student development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in society that appear in your professional role.
