We look forward to your application Your Role with Us You will primarily teach Swedish in two grades 7-9 classes, physical education in grade 5, and visual arts in grades 4-6 and 8-9, and collaborate closely with your other subject colleagues. Teaching in other groups may become relevant based on your qualifications and competence. The position also includes shared mentorship in a secondary level class where you will be part of a work team and subject group. With commitment and enthusiasm, you create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation, through good leadership both inside and outside the classroom. Teaching is designed based on the curriculum's goals where planning, preparation, implementation and evaluation are important foundation pillars. You have positive and high expectations for students and adapt teaching based on each student's level, with focus on the student's best interest. Through dialogue you create good relationships characterized by mutual respect and a trustful approach. In your role you stay informed about events in the wider world and youth's everyday life. Alternative learning tools and documentation are a natural part of your work. In a systematic way you reflect on practical work and together with colleagues you drive developmental work in the work group/school. You also share responsibility for both your own and the group's planning and further development. If you are new as a teacher, you are supported by a mentor for best guidance in your work, and if you are an unlicensed teacher you may conduct teaching but not be responsible for it. A licensed teacher has responsibility for grading. Who Are We Looking For? We are primarily looking for you with a teacher's license with qualification to conduct teaching in grades 7-9 in the subject Swedish and physical education, or alternatively visual arts in primary school. Secondly, we are looking for you who have subject knowledge at university level in the above subject. It is a merit if you have pedagogical training at university level. We would like to see that you have experience working as a teacher in primary school, teaching experience, and have worked with children aged 13-16. You have the ability to adapt teaching based on each student's conditions and your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, work peace and desire to learn. We would like to see that you have good ability to teach children with special needs support and ability to help students manage conflicts that arise. You have commitment, enthusiasm and a genuine interest in the school world and how it is affected by the wider world. A success factor is that you can create trustful relationships both in and outside school. Furthermore, you are a secure pedagogical leader with the ability to critically analyze your own and the work group's methods for continuous development. Of course you use digital technology in teaching and as a tool for information, planning, communication and reporting. You organize and structure work based on specified goals. As a person you are communicative, attentive and well-versed and live up to the professional ethical principles for teachers and have aptitude for analyzing and documenting students' abilities and knowledge. In order for us to assess your application, you must attach your diploma and teacher's license. If there are no qualified licensed teachers, you as an unlicensed person may be employed temporarily according to school law.
