Description We at Skåreskolan are now hiring a music and physical education teacher for grades 4-6 who wants to play an important role in students' development and have the opportunity to make a difference in their lives. Skåreskolan has approximately 200 students from grades 3 to 6. At our school, it is important that every student feels well and is treated with respect. We focus on creating good learning environments and train students to participate in planning their instruction. We strive to create a sense of community at the school and help students get to know each other across class boundaries. Skåreskolan | City of Karlstad Responsibilities As a music and physical education teacher for grades 4-6, your primary task is to develop students' knowledge and skills according to the curriculum and each student's individual needs and conditions. You plan instruction by setting goals, choosing methods and materials, and preparing lessons. Together with your students, you evaluate the instruction to continuously strive to improve teaching, student learning, and your own professional development. Qualifications We are primarily looking for someone with teacher certification in both music and physical education for grades 4–6. You are also welcome to apply if you hold certification in only one of these subjects. As a person, we see that you are self-directed and take responsibility for planning, conducting, and developing your instruction in a structured and efficient manner. You have good collaboration skills and actively contribute to a positive work environment with colleagues, students, and guardians. Furthermore, you are relationship-building and skilled at establishing trusting relationships, which creates safety and engagement among your students. Your pedagogical insight enables you to adapt instruction based on students' different needs and conditions and stimulate their development and learning in the best way possible.
