Description At Norrstrandsskolan, we are now seeking a teacher for grades 4-6 who wants to play an important role in students' development and have the opportunity to make a difference in their lives. The position is as a class teacher in grade 4. The school has approximately 800 students from grades 4 to 9 and is centrally located on Norrstrand with proximity to Sundsta Sports Center. Norrstrandsskolan is divided into two units: grades 4-6 and 7-9. At Norrstrandsskolan 4-6, approximately 200 students attend. Grades 4-6 and 7-9 have separate facilities but collaborate with each other. For the past 30 years, the school has offered a music profile. Read more about our school here: Norrstrandsskolan Responsibilities As a teacher with us, you work in a team with other teachers in the same grade level. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing based on governing documents and the school's commitments. Evaluating your work, actively working to create an accessible learning environment to meet students' needs, finding strategies to reach every student, and strengthening them in both academic and personal development is an important part of your role. You participate in evaluating and developing the school's activities based on knowledge, science, and current research. You will be part of a teacher team where you are expected to actively contribute with a solution- and results-oriented approach with students' needs at the center. You collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the student welfare team. Your responsibilities as a teacher include: • Planning, implementing, following up, and evaluating instruction based on the school's governing documents. • Participating in collegial learning to enable co-planning, assessment, and grading. • Writing student assessments, individual development plans, evaluations, and other documentation. • Mentoring with regular student/parent contacts, development meetings, and class/parent meetings. • Contributing to systematic quality work and development work based on national and local governing documents. • Managing school-related and unplanned student incidents, such as playground supervision and educational lunch activities. • Contributing to the development of the school's digital work and integration of digital tools in instruction. Qualifications We are looking for someone with teacher certification for grades 4-6. You must be certified in mathematics, Swedish, science, and technology. Certification in social studies and English is a merit.
