We are now looking for a teacher for grades 4-6 at Blackstad School.
Blackstad School is a small rural school with approximately 50 students and close collaboration among all staff. As a middle school teacher, you will work in an integrated grades 4-6 class of 22 students together with another teacher and a resource person.
Your Responsibilities
Your responsibilities involve planning, implementing, and evaluating work individually and together with other educators at the school according to the school's governing documents and with our vision in mind. You will conduct your own teaching and also work closely with other educators in the organization. The role also includes serving as a mentor.
As a teacher, you work to promote each student's development and learning. Your responsibility includes creating good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You are a role model for all students at the school.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for someone with teacher training and teaching certification for grades 4-6. For this position, you need to have a B driver's license.
To succeed and thrive with us, you need to have good collaboration skills, be receptive, and be able to understand others' perspectives. You need to be confident, stable, and have good self-awareness.
It is important in this role that you have well-developed pedagogical skills. You have a good understanding of how children and young people acquire knowledge and the different conditions for learning. It is also important that you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances in the organization.
