Your responsibilities As a Science/Technology teacher for grades 7–9, you will help make science and technology understandable, engaging, and relevant to students' everyday lives. You plan, implement, and follow up on instruction in accordance with the school's governing documents and work to ensure all students succeed based on their abilities. You collaborate closely with colleagues in both subject areas and work teams to create a comprehensive approach to student learning. You share mentorship of grade 9 students with two colleagues. You focus on students and work with guidance and encouragement to meet them at both group and individual levels. Your duties include: Teaching science and technology subjects in grades 7–9. Planning and evaluating instruction based on curricula, course plans, and local goals. Adapting instruction to meet different student needs and abilities. Working with assessment, grading, and documentation in a fair and consistent manner. Collaborating with colleagues, student support services, and guardians to create security and a conducive learning environment. Actively contributing to the school's development work and shared projects. We are seeking someone with a teaching license and qualifications in Science and Technology for grades 7-9. If you have previous experience in educational work, we see that as an asset. You are a confident and committed teacher with broad pedagogical expertise and a relational approach. You are responsive and enjoy working closely with students of different ages. You see the value in creating structure, participation, and security, both in the classroom and in collegial collaboration. You are also experienced in meeting students who present challenges and have the ability to build strong relationships and instruction that meets diverse student needs. As a person, you adapt easily to changes that may occur in your work. You are well-versed in the school's governing documents and have strong knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
