Basic School Support is a central unit within Enköping Municipality that offers support to the municipality's elementary schools at the individual, group, and organizational levels. The unit consists of Learning Arena, School Social Team, School Team, Basic School Team, and Reception Unit. Together we work to ensure that all students have the conditions to succeed in school and develop positively. Learning Arena is a special teaching group for students in grades 4–9 who need a smaller setting to succeed in school. We are an engaged team working to create motivation, participation, and a meaningful school day. For us, instruction, relationships, collaboration, and creativity are equally important parts of our mission. As a teacher with us, you primarily teach English to grades 7–9 and also take responsibility for instruction in social studies and religion through a thematic approach together with colleagues. You plan, conduct, and follow up on instruction, and adapt the learning environment, approach, and methods based on students' needs. The role includes working to increase motivation, attendance, and achievement in close collaboration with colleagues, guardians, and the student's home school. You also contribute to the continued development of the program. Here the teaching role is broad and you work both pedagogically and relationally throughout the day to create pathways back to a functional school experience. We are looking for someone with teacher certification and qualification in English for grades 7–9, preferably also in social studies. You have experience with or interest in working with students in need of special support and NPF. As a person, you are confident, flexible, and relationship-building. You believe in students' abilities, work well collaboratively, and can adapt instruction to each student's needs and circumstances. You maintain a balanced perspective on situations and focus on what matters. You have good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and their different circumstances. You collaborate well with others and relate to them in a responsive and flexible way. You listen, communicate, and resolve collaboration difficulties or conflicts constructively.
