DUTIES Do you want to make a difference in a smaller school where learning is connected to motivation, relationships, and student influence? Åsbro School is located in a small community with nature at its doorstep. We're looking for someone who enjoys challenges and can be a trusted adult with the school's students. The school has one class in each year level—from preschool class to grade 6. You will work closely with your colleagues, student support services, and management with a shared commitment to ensuring all students feel motivated and secure and achieve as far as possible in their knowledge development. You plan, implement, and follow up on your instruction at the intermediate level. You are a clear leader who takes responsibility for all students' learning, inspires a desire for knowledge, and creates good, inspiring, and safe learning environments. You are careful to guide your students and build trusting relationships, and you collaborate with your team and student support services to best contribute to all students' opportunity to succeed in school. You have a working approach that trains your students in taking responsibility and gives them the opportunity to have a say in their education. The position includes mentoring. All activities within our department actively work with a researcher from the University of Gothenburg on school improvement. At your own school, you participate in a teacher group where you collectively discuss and try new approaches to instructional improvement toward a goal you formulate together. You also participate in municipality-wide network meetings, where we share experiences together. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for someone who: • is a qualified teacher with teacher certification. • has qualifications to teach Social Studies. • is responsible and confident in your professional role. • puts the student at the center. • values and has the ability to build trusting relationships. • thrives in a team and sees opportunities in collegial collaboration. • dares to try new things, follow up, and improve. • is interested in development and school improvement.
