You contribute to ensuring that local perspectives are captured in the municipality's plans, decisions, and development processes. You will, among other things: • handle and develop the municipality's support for local development • support local initiatives and development processes • coordinate dialogue between the municipality, associations, entrepreneurs, residents, and local development groups • plan and conduct meetings, forums, dialogues, and workshops • drive and participate in assignments within, for example, place development, local services, infrastructure, housing, waste, tourism, and emergency preparedness • contribute rural and archipelago perspectives in plans, strategies, and development work • produce analyses, service reports, decision-making materials, and follow-ups • coordinate issues between municipal activities and external actors • develop methods and working approaches for local development Challenges and opportunities Norrtälje is a geographically large municipality with a small city, countryside, coast, and archipelago. The different parts of the municipality have different needs and conditions. Many issues affect multiple activities and actors, and the division of responsibility is not always clear. You need to create structure, build trust, and drive issues forward even when there's no ready-made solution. You also need to handle different expectations and be clear about what the municipality can do and how the process works. At the same time, you'll have great opportunity to influence the municipality's work on rural, archipelago, and place development. What you need to bring Requirements • post-secondary education in rural development, urban planning, cultural geography, political science, social sciences, environment and natural resource issues, or other relevant education • experience with community development, rural or archipelago matters, local development, civil society, business, public administration, urban planning, or related areas • experience coordinating and driving assignments or processes with multiple actors • good ability to structure, prioritize, and drive work forward • good ability to analyze and summarize complex information • very good Swedish, spoken and written • B-class driver's license Meritorious • experience from municipality, region, agency, or other politically governed organization • experience with project management, process management, or change work • experience with handling and follow-up of grants or project support • experience with dialogue work with residents, associations, entrepreneurs, or local development groups • experience with service reports, responses to consultation, or other decision-making materials • knowledge of external support and financing opportunities • experience with archipelago's special conditions • local knowledge of Norrtälje Municipality To succeed in this role, you need to be structured, relationship-building, collaborative, solution-oriented, and results-oriented.
