Your future responsibilities You are responsible for assessing macroeconomic and political developments in a number of selected markets. You alternate between independent analytical work and close collaboration with the business teams at EKN, where your analyses have significance for both the evaluation of individual transactions and EKN's guarantee issuance policies worldwide. Your work also includes credit assessment of banks and public buyers. Your role involves many points of contact, both within EKN and internationally. You travel to countries within your area of responsibility, participate in international forums, such as within the OECD, and contribute your expertise in various development projects at EKN. In your daily work, you represent EKN in dialogue with EKN's customers (exporters and banks), embassies, and other actors within Team Sweden – a partnership between government agencies and companies that promote Swedish exports and investments. You also have regular contact with EKN's counterparts in other countries. Your future team/department The Risk Management department currently has approximately 30 specialists with responsibility areas in country, credit, sustainability, and portfolio analysis as well as EKN's international cooperation. The department contributes to EKN's operations through methodological and analytical responsibility for risk assessment, risk measurement, reinsurance operations, sustainability investigations, advisory services, and awareness-building activities. Your education and experience We are looking for someone with an academic degree that includes economics, preferably with a focus on macroeconomics, international economics, and/or finance. It is meritorious if you have experience with economic and financial analysis. Knowledge of business economics, bank analysis, and statistics is equally meritorious, as is experience with international business and work or studies in emerging and developing countries. Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage but not a requirement. Your qualities We are looking for someone with a strong interest in macroeconomics, international issues, and financial analysis. You have strong analytical abilities and are comfortable diving into complex economic, financial, and political issues. You can analyze and evaluate large amounts of information and translate your conclusions into clear and well-founded assessments. You are proactive and take responsibility for driving your work forward. You work independently and in a structured manner while having strong collaboration skills and an ability to build good relationships. You are flexible and adapt easily to changed circumstances. You are also stable and maintain focus even when the external environment or conditions change rapidly. The position requires excellent communication and presentation skills in both oral and written form, as well as very good knowledge of Swedish and English. Curiosity and experience in using generative AI and AI solutions are an advantage. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. Other information The position is a permanent employment with a probationary period and placement at our office in Stockholm. Business travel within Sweden and abroad will occur.
