The Oncology Clinic is a county clinic with primary operations at Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna. We also have a physician clinic and outpatient treatment unit at Nyköping Hospital.
At Mälarsjukhuset, we have both the radiation therapy unit, medical treatment unit, and our inpatient ward, the Oncology Department. Since all units are co-located at the cancer center, we have good logistics for both patients and staff. The radiation therapy unit has 3 radiation machines and a well-equipped target center with its own CT simulator. We conduct several clinical trials within the clinical research unit at our outpatient clinic. Your Responsibilities
You serve as first-line manager for the physician group, which includes personnel, development, and budget responsibility for the physician group. The management role is not full-time; the remaining part of your position is as a specialist physician. There are good opportunities to tailor the arrangement based on your circumstances, and the exact time distribution is determined in agreement with the operations manager.
You also participate in the clinic's management group and contribute to planning, leading, and developing the clinic in a way that benefits the patient, the operations, and the staff.
As a newly appointed manager in Region Sörmland, you are offered comprehensive introductory training with fundamental knowledge in organization, management, and the employer role. Recurring management training is offered after the introduction. Region Sörmland also provides various leadership development programs.
Your Qualifications
We're looking for you as a licensed physician with a specialist degree in oncology.
By showing personal care, you easily create participation, good relationships, and can build collaboration both within and outside the organization. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
Employment Type
Permanent employment with the region with start date by agreement and time-limited appointment as physician unit manager.
