Do you want to be part of designing Sweden's most society-critical storage platform? The Swedish Tax Agency is in a unique expansion phase where we're not only developing our own IT – we're building and delivering infrastructure services to several government agencies in Sweden. Right now we're developing next-generation private cloud platform and scaling up our storage environment to meet increased demands for availability, security, and performance. In parallel, we're establishing an AI lab that sets new requirements for data storage and data management. We're now looking for a storage architect who wants to take a key role in shaping the future storage platform for the public sector. Discover a diverse assignment. About the Job The Swedish Tax Agency's culture is characterized by an agile approach with high ceilings and open dialogue for change and development. You'll become part of the Swedish Tax Agency's Technical Services unit (STT) with approximately 450 employees. We're responsible for development, maintenance, and operations and deliver services within IT infrastructure, platforms, and IT workplace to several agencies: the Swedish Tax Agency, the Enforcement Authority, the Election Authority, the Swedish Agency for Payment and Support, and the Agency for Digital Government. You'll join a team of skilled technicians and architects within storage, where our storage solutions today are based on NetApp and vSAN. As a storage architect, you'll be a key player in the Swedish Tax Agency's IT department and part of the Section for Servers, Storage, and Virtualization, where you'll help develop the next generation of infrastructure services. The work focuses on increased automation and further development of a scalable private cloud solution. You'll be responsible for designing and developing storage solutions based on NetApp ONTAP, where you also create architecture and design documentation and ensure solutions for Disaster Recovery, replication, and data protection. The role also involves continuous work to optimize the platform based on performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. In close collaboration with other technical areas, you'll contribute to both strategic decisions and long-term infrastructure development – you help set the direction, not just implement it. The position is located in Sundbyberg. In this job you should: - have good collaboration skills, be helpful and have good interpersonal skills - have the ability and willingness to learn new things and adapt to change - act consciously and professionally based on good self-awareness - have good problem-solving skills, see patterns, and be able to make appropriate scoping decisions - have good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written You should also have: - relevant completed education in IT, or alternatively several years of relevant work experience in the field as the employer deems relevant for the role - several years of current and relevant work experience in design and architecture of storage solutions in larger environments - current and relevant work experience in solution design (HLD/LLD) and technical guidelines - current and relevant work experience with Disaster Recovery, replication, and data protection It's also desirable that you have experience with one or more of the following: vSAN or other hyperconverged solutions, virtualization, networking, automation, or Infrastructure as Code. Current and relevant work experience with NetApp ONTAP is also desirable. Good to Know The employment is permanent and may begin with a six-month probationary period. Employment with us may involve placement in a security classification.
