The Role of Camp Leader
The purpose of the camp activities is to enrich the lives of children and youth and to support parents and relatives. At our camps, children and youth with similar disabilities can experience a positive change of environment, meet each other, socialize, and try new activities.
Your role as a camp leader is to guide the youth in their activities and in social interaction within the group. You work full-time and the work is intensive and very rewarding. Each camp has a planned schedule with activities adapted to the participants' abilities and interests.
Your Profile
You have the ability to meet children and youth based on their needs and circumstances. You are a reliable and responsible person who is clear and has the ability to set boundaries. You are engaged, motivated, creative, and work well in collaboration. In Kungsbacka Municipality, we work based on low-arousal approaches. You express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
We are looking for someone who:
- has appropriate education with a focus on healthcare programs, children and youth, or other pedagogical education
- has experience and knowledge of people with disabilities
- has a Class B driving license
It is meritorious:
- if you have previous experience of similar work

The Division of Individual and Family Care in Kungsbacka Municipality arranges short-term stays on weekdays, weekends, and summer for children and youth with neuropsychiatric disabilities, such as ADHD or high-functioning autism.

Our Offer and Other Information
We offer a time-limited employment in fall 2026, periods v.33-50 with the possibility of extension in spring term 2027.
Working hours are overnight shifts Friday from 16:00 – Saturday 16:00 with on-call duty or alternatively Saturday from 15:00 – Sunday 15:00.
The activities run Friday through Sunday.
