Your role As an LHD vehicle mechanic, you work with maintenance, service, troubleshooting, and repair of load haul dump vehicles used in Kiruna Mine's underground production. The role involves significant individual responsibility where work is planned in collaboration with shift planners. You work primarily independently in the workshop, but also collaborate with colleagues from other shifts and external contractors when the work requires it. In this role, you will, among other things: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on LHD vehicles Troubleshoot and repair vehicle, electrical, steering, and hydraulic systems Carry out service according to established routines and instructions Participate in safe work planning and risk assessments Collaborate with internal and external parties on major projects Contribute to development and improvement of work methods, safety, and accessibility You will be an important part of the operation where your work contributes to high operational reliability, safe work environments, and efficient production. What you bring We're looking for someone who is responsible and always puts safety first. You have a solution-oriented approach and enjoy troubleshooting complex problems. To succeed in this role, you need to be proactive and able to work independently, while also being flexible when circumstances change. You work in a structured manner and know when it's important to ask for support or advice to ensure that work is performed safely and correctly. In addition to this, you also have: Vehicle technical training with a focus on heavy vehicles, mobile machinery, or equivalent Good experience as a mechanic, preferably with trucks or mobile machinery Good knowledge of Swedish, spoken and written Category B driving license for manual transmission It is advantageous but not required if you have: Category C driving license or internal driving permit for heavy truck Experience working in a mine Experience with vehicle electrical, steering systems, and/or 1000V systems Experience with repair and maintenance of mining equipment Experience with hydraulic systems Welding certifications Blasting permit We warmly welcome your application!
