Your Tasks
Would you like to contribute to safe drinking water and a sustainable environment on Gotland? At the Water Laboratory, we conduct analyses that are important for residents, visitors, and businesses across the island.
The Water Laboratory is a small and specialized work group where you work closely with experienced colleagues and have the opportunity to follow the entire analysis chain – from sample reception to final analysis results. As part of a smaller laboratory, you are offered varied work with great opportunities to develop broad expertise in both microbiological and chemical water analyses.
With us, you will work with:
microbiological and chemical analyses of water samples
automated and manual analysis methods
sample reception, registration, and administration of samples
reagent preparation and quality work
customer contact
Who Are You?
You have higher education in biology, chemistry, environmental science, environmental analysis, or other education that the employer considers equivalent.
It is meritorious if you have practical experience in food microbiology or analytical chemistry and experience working within the quality system SS-EN ISO/IEC 17025.
You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. You have a positive approach to our customers and can explain and assist them with various questions. In addition to good computer skills, you are quality-conscious, thorough, have good collaboration skills, and can work independently. It is important that you are flexible, enjoy varied tasks, and can easily adapt to changing needs. You are also curious and enjoy learning new things.
Background checks will be conducted through criminal records extracts prior to hiring decisions.
