We are seeking a Cemetery Groundskeeper for the excavation unit, Skogskyrkogården. Permanent position, 100%. Stockholm city's Cemetery Administration is responsible for burial operations in Stockholm. The Cemetery Administration conducts burial and service operations with high ethical standards and manages 12 burial sites, 13 chapels, and 2 crematories with significant cultural-historical values. Welcome to us! The Excavation Unit encompasses the UNESCO World Heritage site Skogskyrkogården, Sandsborgskyrkogården, and Strandkyrkogården. The area covers approximately 220 hectares and approximately 120,000 graves. The excavation unit is staffed by a team of 12 employees based at Skogskyrkogården. Your Role The main responsibilities of the position involve daily work with grave openings and grave restoration, ash scattering, monument work such as gravestones, and when needed, performing minor landscaping work and garden maintenance. During winter, scheduled on-call duty may occur for snow and ice removal during weekends and other holidays. Your Competence and Experience We are looking for someone who holds a Category B driver's license and has experience driving and operating machinery. You have good computer skills and can work efficiently in Office applications and various IT systems. You are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. As a person, you are organized and self-driven. You are flexible and have good teamwork skills. You have the ability to contribute ideas and solutions when others see problems. We place great importance on your personal qualities. Meritorious Experience from similar roles in park/property maintenance, operations/landscaping.
