About Us
Kvinnojouren Frideborg is a non-profit organization working to counteract male violence against women, girls, and children. The organization primarily serves residents of Mölndal city and Härryda municipality.
We provide support to women who are or have been victims of violence and work to increase knowledge about male violence, oppression, and sexual abuse against women and children, as well as the consequences of violence. Through support, collaboration, and public advocacy, we work toward an equal society where women and children can live free from violence.
Kvinnojouren Frideborg is a feminist, non-profit organization that is politically and religiously independent, affiliated with Roks. Our goal is for all women and children to be able to live lives free from violence in an equal society.
About the Position
We are now seeking a Women's Coordinator for our organization.
With us, you will be part of a small and dedicated workplace where flexibility, participation, and collaboration are important parts of daily work. The organization currently has two employees who together are responsible for daily operations. The board is the employer and has appointed a management committee that maintains ongoing contact with employees. In addition to employees, there are engaged volunteer hotline workers.
The work is varied and primarily consists of supporting women who are or have been victims of violence. In addition, preventive work, educational initiatives, collaboration, and public advocacy are included.
There are good opportunities to participate in developing the organization based on new needs and societal challenges.
Job Responsibilities
The work may include:
Individual support conversations and group activities for women.
Practical and advisory support before, during, or after leaving a violent relationship.
Support in contacts with, for example, police, healthcare, social services, family law, and other authorities.
Collaboration with organizations, authorities, and other community actors.
Planning and conducting lectures, training sessions, and information initiatives.
Participation in projects, networks, and development work.
Public advocacy work regarding male violence against women and children.
About You
We are looking for someone with adequate education in social work or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
You have several years of experience in social work and good knowledge of male violence against women and children, the consequences of violence, and experience supporting abused women, both individually and in groups.
You share our feminist values and have knowledge of male violence against women from a gender power perspective.
It is desirable if you have experience working in the non-profit sector or with associations.
We would like you to have experience with:
Individual support conversations.
Group activities.
Collaboration with authorities and other actors.
Conducting training sessions, lectures, or presentations.
Personal Qualities
The work requires that you have personal maturity, integrity, and a professional approach.
You work independently, take your own initiative, and at the same time have good collaboration skills. You are flexible, responsive, and have the ability to adapt your work based on the organization's and the support seekers' needs.
You enjoy working in a small organization where collaboration, responsibility, and open communication are important parts of daily work. You have the ability to handle changes and unforeseen situations in a constructive way and contribute to a solution-focused approach.
You express yourself well both verbally and in writing and feel comfortable both giving and receiving feedback as a natural part of collaboration.
Employment
The position is full-time with a start date of September 1, 2026, or by agreement.
We apply a six-month probationary period.
Working hours are mainly during daytime, but some evening and weekend shifts may occur.
Upon employment, an extract from the Police's criminal record and suspicion register will be requested.
We offer supervision and wellness compensation.
