45-year-old woman in Arboga seeking female personal assistant. Employment Type: Hourly position. Work hours by agreement. The woman has difficulty sleeping and has epilepsy, which you will need to learn to manage. She requires assistance with virtually everything in her daily life and depends on assistance to enable an independent life. She uses a wheelchair but can also walk and move about, which she enjoys doing, but needs support to do so. As an applicant, you should therefore be in good physical condition so she can do what she wants without being limited by who is working with her. As an assistant, it is important that you understand your role and that you support and sometimes compensate for certain functional limitations, without taking over. It is therefore important that you constantly promote development and self-determination in the person you work with. She has language comprehension but does not speak herself; instead she uses alternative communication. It is therefore important that you as an applicant are Swedish-speaking, patient, and attentive to understand what she wants to say and/or express, or sometimes what she does not express. Communication training is a large part of everyday life. Other work tasks also include personal hygiene and household chores that belong to a home. Training in the form of on-the-job guidance is provided, among other things, together with another experienced assistant. Nevertheless, you are required to be able to grasp the work and be proactive since you will work alone during your shifts. We require that you have the ability to activate and engage her so that she becomes interested. She enjoys music and singing. Employment terms such as holiday pay, overtime compensation, etc., are regulated in the current collective agreement between Fremia & Kommunal.
